A retired LSU Systems employee with 24 years of service and a Vinet and Vinet law firm employee with 12 years of service, she died at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 80 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 pm., conducted by Deacon Curt Reeson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Luis Macedo; two grandchildren, Brayden and Mia Macedo; four nephews, Robert, James, Michael and Charles J. "Buddy" Metz IV; and a niece, Dianne Adams. Preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin A. Grasser; and twin sister, Millie Metz. She was a former member of St. Jude Catholic Church. In memory of Willie's love of gardening and the outdoors, her family has requested only live plants be sent to continue her memory.
