Robert Edward Bailey (Bob), 93, of Baytown, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 in Baytown. He was born March 6, 1925 in Baytown, Texas to his late parents, William L Bailey and Lula Palmer Bailey. Bob was a lifelong resident of Baytown and was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.
He started working for Humble Oil (Exxon) when he was 18 and retired in 1985. His work with Exxon took him overseas to live in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore. He agreed to take overseas jobs only if he could take his family with him. It made for great adventures and wonderful memories.
Bob enjoyed music and singing. He sang in many church choirs and performed with The Houston Tidelanders Chorus (Barbershop Harmony Society).
He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife of 72 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Bailey; son, Robert Charles Bailey; brother James Bailey and sisters, Geraldine Crawford, Floreine Nalley and Frances Lund.
Survivors include daughters, Karen Harrison and husband David, and Debbie Marshall; daughter-in-law, Becky Bailey; brother-in laws, Walter Charles Lund, Jr. and Don Nelson; grandchildren, Jay Morrison and wife, Jackie, Spring del Pino and husband, Eddie, Chad Morrison and wife, Kelli, Lance Marshall, Ryan Marshall and Kyle Bailey; great-grandchildren, Jared Morrison, Izzy Morrison, Sophie Morrison, Aidan del Pino and Andrew del Pino; great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Morrison and Jareth Morrison and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Navarre Funeral Home followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. E. Richard Steel officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
Pallbearers will be Jay Morrison, Chad Morrison, Lance Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Kyle Bailey and Eddie del Pino.
