

Albert Johnnie Busch Jr. was born on December 26, 1927, at Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. He lived his entire life in Goose Creek/Baytown, Texas except for his time attending Texas A&M University. While attending RELHS he was in the Band and lettered in Track and Football. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets and commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army upon graduation.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lisher Busch, his parents and sister Judge Carolyn Busch.
He is survived by his brother Chris Busch, daughter Susan Busch Higgins and husband Jim, son Al Busch and wife Debbie, grandchildren Stefanie Higgins Redmile, Katherine Higgins Peden, Lindsey Busch Baker, John Busch, and six great grandchildren: Reese Baker, Aiden Baker, James Redmile, Charles Peden, Sylvie Peden, Grant Busch, and Wyatt Busch.
Johnnie was a Registered Professional Engineer, a Registered Public Surveyor, and a member of numerous Professional Associations as well as the Chambers of Commerce, and Lions Club. He was a principal and president of Busch, Hutchison and Associates, Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors. He was directly involved in the design and construction of many municipal, industrial, governmental, and private projects in Southeast, Texas.
He was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church and served on all Boards at one time or another.
Johnnie had a great love for each one of his extended family. He cherished the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He and Dot liked to travel throughout the USA.
A Funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 2:00PM at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521.
