

Alene F. Bunting, 95, died at home in Bryan, TX on the evening of December 28th 2005. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Baytown, TX and was the music director of that church for 13 years during the 1940s and 50s. She was a graduate of Sul Ross State University and a music teacher in the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District for over 30 years. Alene was active in Delta Kappa Gamma, the Retired Teachers Association of Baytown and a variety of church activities. In 2000, she moved to Bryan, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Bunting; brother L.E. Frazier; sisters Ercel Speck and Laurel Frazier.
She is survived by her daughter, Camille Bunting of College Station; sisters, Madell Frazier of Bryan, TX, Marilynn Custis of Portland, OR; and sister-in-law, Margaret Frazier of Houston.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Roy Parker and Rev. Bill Ingram. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery, Lawndale Dr. Houston, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Frazier, Greg Frazier, Bob Frazier, David Frazier, Paul Frazier, Joe Frazier, and James Keel Frazier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice of College Station, TX 979-696-8880, or the First Baptist Church of Baytown, or the charity of your choice.
Alene was a beloved mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
