Alfred Thomas Wortham Sr.

Alfred Thomas “A. T.” Wortham Sr., 77, of Baytown, TX was born October 26, 1928 in Warrenton, NC and passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at his home. For over 45 years, he was a faithful and longtime member of the Goose Creek Baytown Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He retired after many years of barbering at the Trophy Barber Shop in Baytown to volunteer in the building of the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rosenberg.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Ron DeHoyos officiating. Burial will be private.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Aletha Ann and Vilinda Rae and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosalee Wortham of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred Thomas Jr. and Marshallene Wortham and Jerry Lee and Katherine Wortham, all of La Porte; brother, Robert Wortham of North Carolina; sister, Mabel Seleno of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Jason Derrick and Courtney Shannon.
