Allen Charles Machala

Allen lived most of his life in Crosby where he enjoyed a variety of activities. He was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Allen also enjoyed walking in the city park almost daily, bowling once a week with his family, and attending many church activities. One of Allen’s favorite things to do was to dress up as Santa Claus and hand out gifts to family members on Christmas Eve. In his later years Allen lived at Willow River Farms in San Felipe, Texas, where he enjoyed life in the country and fellowship with other community members.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include sisters Charlene, Bernadine and husband N.C. Morehead, Elizabeth, and Karen and brothers Tom and wife Suzanne, Michael, Matthew, Andrew and wife Vickie and nephew Jared Machala, and great niece Lena Machala.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg Road, Crosby, TX.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. after visitation. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
