

Ammie Eugine Frazar, Sr., a life long resident of Chambers County, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 80 years 2 months and 9 days. He passed away peaceably in his own home in Hankamer, Texas with his wife by his side. He was born in Anahuac, Texas on August 16, 1944 to Columbus Franklin Frazar, Jr. and Alma Juanita Yates.
He married Helen Louise Evans on December 23, 1966 in Wallisville Texas. They were married 57 years, 10 months, and 2 days with a love and devotion to each other that remained strong and inspirational to his last breath.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wesley Wayne Frazar, Sr., grandsons Cody Eugine Frazar, Justin Allen Frazar, Christopher David Frazar, and granddaughter Sarah Annette Frazar.
He is survived by his wife Helen Louise Frazar of Hankamer, Texas, sons and daughter in laws Ammie and Stephanie Frazar, Jr. of Rye, Texas, Frank and Lisa Frazar of Hankamer, Texas, son Joe Allen Frazar of Rye, Texas, and daughter Diana Jean Frazar of Leonville, Louisiana.
He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as leaving behind to cherish his memories siblings, nieces, nephews, and many others that affectionately called him Paw Paw or friend.
Ammie was a devoted husband, Daddy, Paw Paw, and Uncle to all that he loved and cherished. He enjoyed the simple things in life of being home with his precious wife, family, and mowing the yard. He served Old River Assembly of God for many years helping to make sure the yard stayed fresh cut and beautiful for the church body and community. He would want everyone to continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Ammie served honorably in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. He was a Boatswain’s Mate on the U.S.S. Gunston Hall LSD 5 as the Captain’s Gig Coxswain and ran security aboard ship. He has been recognized by the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars of the United States as a Gold Circle Member for faithfully supporting fellow veterans and their families.
The family will receive guests for Ammie on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521, followed by a Celebration of Life service to begin at 12:00 PM. Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Anahuac Cemetery, FM 563, Anahuac, Texas 77514.
A Reception will be held at Old River Assembly of God, 40 CR 401, Dayton, Texas 77535 at 3:30 PM
Pallbearers will be: Ammie Eugine Frazar, Jr., John Allen Frazar, Justin Dakota Myers, Jacob Wayne Frazar, Joshua Landon Elpers, and Benjamin Blaine Frazar.
Pastor Dave McLennan will be officiating the Celebration of Life and Graveside Services.
