

Raised in Baytown’s beloved Pelly neighborhood, Tony was a familiar and cherished presence. Tony was widely recognized as a hardworking selfless man, willing to lend a hand to friends, family, and neighbors. His infectious laugh and positive vibes could brighten any room.
He lived by the values of love, loyalty, and above all, respect. Though he carried a fearless spirit, beneath his tough exterior was a heart overflowing with devotion to his family and friends.
Tony loved history and spreading knowledge of historical events especially if it had to do with his culture. He was a talented artist, smart, strong, funny, and endlessly hardworking. He never turned down an opportunity to work, and he never hesitated to drop everything to help someone in need. His generosity, selflessness, and humor were defining parts of who he was.
Though his life included struggles, Tony’s journey reflected a powerful transformation. With the support of family, the strength of love, and the guidance of God, he showed that anything can be overcome. His life was a testament to courage, resilience, and unwavering determination.
He was blessed with an abundance of friends, each of whom he cared for deeply. Family remained the center of his world, and every action he took reflected the profound love he held for them. Tony was a steady presence—offering guidance, comfort, laughter, and support to all who needed him.
He loved all his siblings, especially the bond with his five sisters. Their connection was built on unconditional love, respect, shared memories, and a lifetime of standing together through both joyful and difficult moments. He looked out for them in his own steady way making sure they were all protected and cared for. He carried the big brother’s role with grace and devotion and will always be remembered for it.
Tony was preceded in death by his dad Salvador Torres, and nephew Joey Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving mother, Clara Torres, his eight siblings, his sixteen nieces and nephews, 2 great grandnieces and 4 grand nephews, brother and sisters-in-laws, and numerous family and friends.
Tony is now at peace, reunited in Heaven with Pop—the father he missed so deeply—watching over the family they both cherished.
Services to honor Tony will be held at Navarre Funeral Home. Visitation: 10:00–11:00 AM Service: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM Burial will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery.
