Arcadio was born on August 18, 1935 in Baytown, TX to Arcadio Sr and Romana. He served his country in the Airforce as a radio operator and went on to have a long career at Beasley Tire before retiring. On August 5, 1967 he married the love of his life Erline Araujo. They raised three beautiful children together, Delores, Deborah, and Arcadio III.
Arcadio loved cheering on his Houston Astros and Texans every year. He was a hardworking and dedicated man that loved life. He had a strong passion and love for his family, they were most important to him. Every moment spent with family, he cherished. He was the best husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather anyone could ask for. He came to every birthday party, graduation, wedding, baptism, holiday, and family gathering that was had. He was the kind of person that always showed up when you needed him the most. He could put a smile on anyone’s face, and his humor kept us all laughing. His compassion, kindness, and wit will live in our hearts forever.
Arcadio was preceded in death by his father, mother, and siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Erline, his three children, Delores, Deborah, and Arcadio III, his brother Albert, his sister Mary, his four grandchildren Matthew D. Smith, Taylor Porter, Jordan Jackson and Felicia Leger, and his three great grandchildren Avery Arcadio Smith, Ella Rose Poter, and Bonita Kay.
