Archie Jerome DeVault, Jr., 86, of Old River-Winfree, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Feb. 12, 2012. He was born in Thrift, OK, to Archie, Sr. and Edna DeVault on Sept. 4, 1925. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family barbecue’s and sitting on the front porch feeding his squirrels. He led an incredible life serving in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1954. He has dove deep under sea and flown high above the clouds; as he had no boundaries on his accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie DeVault, Sr.; mother, Ruth DeVault; daughter, Elizabeth DeVault and brother, Edward DeVault.
He is survived by his sons, Michael DeVault and Belinda Reeves of Old River-Winfree, and Archie DeVault III and wife Andrea of Old River-Winfree; granddaughters, Mandi Moreau Saunders of League City, Carla DeVault and Wesley Evans of Anahuac, Regina DeVault-Bogar and husband Guy of Sandy, Utah, grandson, Allen DeVault and wife Sara of El Reno, OK, granddaughter, Heather Roffe of Highlands; granddaughter, Tamara Moreau and John Moye of Mt. Belvieu; great grandchildren, Alli, Aaron, Chelsi, Kimberlee, Hunter, Dawson, Caleb, Madelyn, Emma, Justin and Haley.
