

Arnold F. Wolf, Jr., 93, of Baytown was born October 15, 1923, in Louise, TX and died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in a local healthcare facility. He farmed rice for 62 years in Chambers County before retiring and was the Pioneer Farmer of the Year in 1989 at the Winnie Rice Festival. In 2007, he realized his dream of moving to the Texas Hill Country by moving to Fredericksburg, where he and his wife lived before returning to Baytown last year. He was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold F. Wolf, Sr. and Paula Bender Wolf; infant son, David Andrew Wolf; and sister, Nona Tippit. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bess Lynn Wolf of Baytown; his son, Arnold F. ""Ricky"" Wolf III and wife, Yvonne of Mont Belvieu; and his daughter, Jo Ann Wolf of Brenham.
His family will receive friends at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520, on Friday, January 20, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Tyler officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Swan Manor and their staff as well as Faith Community Hospice for the loving care that they provided throughout this difficult time.
