Atef I. Rizkallah, M. D.

Atef I. Rizkallah, M.D., 58, of Baytown, TX was born August 17, 1947 in Cairo, Egypt and passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in a Houston hospital. He completed Cairo Medical School in Egypt in 1970 and went to England in 1973, where he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1978. He then moved to the United States in 1978 became a member of the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Medical staff, where he served until the time of his death.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 12 Noon at the St. Mary and Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church, 7030 Lakeview Haven Dr., Houston, TX 77095. Officiating will be Father Ishak Soliman, Father Bishoy George, Father Athanasious Kaldas, and Father Younan Labib. Burial will follow at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Rizkallah of Baytown; son, William Rizkallah and daughter, Amy Rizkallah, both of Baytown; mother, Tahiat Rizkallah of Baytown; brother and sister-in-law, Sameh and Sari Rizkallah of Belgium; sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Dallal and Dr. Magdy Abdelsayed of Baytown; uncles and aunts, Mamdouh Ghobrial, Shafik and Judith Ghobrial, and Maged and Amani Ghobrial, all of Baytown; nieces and nephews, Christine, John, and Maggie Abdelsayed, all of Baytown and Sarah and Sylvia Rizkallah, both of Belgium; and cousins, Joseph, Peter, Mary, and Mina Ghobrial, all of Baytown.
