

Audry Edwards Harvey, of Baytown, Texas, made her entrance into heaven on August 29, 2011 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Audry was born October 30, 1921 in Naborton, Louisiana, to Louis Wallace Edwards and Lula Mae Roberson Edwards and spent her whole life serving God with joy and dedication.
Audry was a 1939 graduate of Milby High School, Houston, Texas and was a long-time member of Memorial Baptist Church of Baytown, Texas. She loved teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to preschoolers. She also was active in the Write Way Prison Ministry.
Audry loved traveling and camping with family and friends, birding with her sons, and watching her Gaither Homecoming videos. She leaves a legacy of a lifetime of obedience and service to God.
Audry was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Allyson Lee Harvey, her husband of 65 years, Barrett Druey Harvey, her parents and her sisters, Roma Edwards and Opal Easterly. She is survived by her sister, Betty Edwards Fowler of Houston, sons, Tyrrell D. Harvey of Baytown and Michael Dale Harvey of Channelview, daughter and son-in-law, Karen Gail and Terry L. Henderson of Houston, grandsons, Chris Henderson and his wife, Janelle of Houston, and Trey Henderson and his wife, Kate of Dallas, and great grandchildren Liberty, Elijah and Renee Henderson. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as other family members.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Audry's caregivers: Pam McMahon, Dr. Frederico Dancel, Acare Home Health Care, Harbor Hospice and St. James House.
Officiating at Audry's homecoming celebration will be Rev. Alan Beck and Rev. Chris Henderson. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Henderson, Chris Henderson, Trey Henderson, Wayne Smith, James Smith and Denny Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Giddings and Michael Giddings.
The family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
