Avis Sanders

Avis lived most of her life in Baytown, where she formerly worked at Dean's Dress Shop, was a devoted wife to her late husband, Grady A. Sanders and kept her home impeccably clean.

Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; a son, Johnny Sanders and a sister, Geraldine McLean.

Survivors include her son, Larry Sanders and his wife Eva of Baytown; sisters, Doris Simmons and Janice Thomas and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Daryl Start and his wife Mary Beth and Eric Start and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday March 22, 2013 at Navarre Funeral Home. Graveside service will be private at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.
