Baileigh Lynn Trousdale, 26, of Baytown, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Baytown. She was born in Baytown to Britney Lynn Trousdale and Shannon James O’Shay Green. Baileigh proudly graduated from Ross S. Sterling, class of 2017, where she was an active member of the choir and athletic trainer for multiple sports.
Baileigh was a vibrant soul; with a big family and many passions. She was always on the go. It was the simple pleasures of life, like shopping with her “Mawmaw” Sandra whom she lived with and getting her nails done. Baileigh might be with her dad Shannon at the Rockets, Astros or Texans games or hanging out with her brothers Jayden and Trenton. She enjoyed spending time with her mom Britney, often laughing and watching her kids together or even watching movies super late.
Music filled her heart, especially “That’s What Makes You Beautiful!” by One Direction. She often found peace around water, where she loved to swim. A gifted artist, Baileigh’s creativity would shine through in her beautiful drawings, and you could often find her lost in a coloring book, just like her mom.
Baileigh had an undeniable presence with a radiant personality that could light up any room with her infectious smile and sparkling eyes. But if anyone knows that laugh of hers, it would easily make you laugh. A social butterfly, she made friends wherever she went, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Above all, Baileigh’s greatest joy was being a mother and a proud aunt. She poured her love into her children, Danielle and Bodi, cherishing every moment spent with them. Whether at the park, splashing around at the splash pad with her kiddos and her nieces, or visiting the library for hours doing crafts, including painting rocks and hunting down new books. Family was at the core of her life, and she loved spending time with her nieces A’niyah & A’mara. Baileigh’s love for her kids & nieces was boundless.
Baileigh was preceded in death by her grandmother Ida Cardenas; her great-grandparents Ada and Doyle Trousdale, Zella and Emile Smith, Albert Boodell, Edna and Robert Garcia, Sr.; and her numerous cousins.
She is survived by her parents Britney and Shannon; her other dad Simon Smith and wife Chanel; her children Danielle Rose Scott and Bodi James; her best friend and Danielle’s father Ryan Scott; her grandparents Sandra and Robert Garcia, Jr., Isabelle and James Green and Stephen Trousdale; her brothers Jayden Trousdale and wife Triana and Trenton Smith; her sister Kaitlyn Powell; her nieces A’niyah Trousdale and A’mara Trousdale; her aunt Leah Trousdale and wife Jordan, Hali Garcia; her uncles, Chad Trousdale and wife Kristi, Bradley Trousdale and Chad Green; along with her numerous cousins who adore and loved her dearly, especially Luca, Karsyn, Lane and Trey; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Though she may no longer be with us, the legacy of her love and light lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
