Barbara Ann Fahr, 82, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2021. She was a devoted mother, sister, and a meme to many. She is known for her unwavering faith in God with a servant’s heart. She was a member of Fields of Harvest Church and will be remembered as a prayer warrior. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her life was lived to the fullest. Everything she did was to glorify God. Barbara was born on February 16, 1938. She graduated from La Porte High School in 1956. After high school she worked many jobs, including a sales associate, where she loved to talk and get to know the customers. In 1987 she became a Chaplain at the Harris County Jail and used her encouraging words to share the love of Jesus with those who were incarcerated on a weekly basis for many years. In 1992 she took her first of many trips to Brazil. There she helped spread the gospel within the communities of various regions near the Amazon River. After retiring, she became a full time “Meme” to her three grandkids. She had a heart of gold and cared for everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her parents Doris and Leonard Knighton, her son, Len Bishop, and her beloved daughter in law, Rosie Latiolais. Barbara is survived by her sister, June Luprete, her oldest son, Perry Latiolais, her daughter in law Bekki Bishop, her three grandchildren, Tyler, Allie Faith, and GraceAnn, as well as many other family members and friends who love her.
