Barbara Joan Graf

Barbara Joan Graf, 63, passed away on June 16, 2022 in Old River-Winfree, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1958 in Corsicana, Texas to Linda Faye Spence-Hughes, who has preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Wade, Kelly and Stacey Hughes; and sister, Michelle Hughes. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Randy Graf; children: Kary Tankink and his wife Cathy, Brandi Pollio and her husband Kris, Tony Tankink and his wife Amber; 8 grandchildren: Amber, Madison, Richie, Hallie, Justin, Matthew, Chloe, and Abby; sisters: Melanie Hart and her husband Bill, Debbi Karamian and her husband Houshang; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara had a fulfilling career in Marketing and Communications and retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. She was passionate about spreading kindness, compassion and love with everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Barbara was easy to talk to, and was commonly known as everyone’s “Mom”. Her sound advice and approachable persona made it easy for others to confide in her. She was definitely the keeper of the peace, a true family matriarch. She was a giver, and often spent many hours volunteering with a multitude of charitable organizations through her employment and within her community. Every Christmas, Barbara genuinely spread the spirit of the holiday. She faithfully adopted a family in need each year. In turn, teaching her own family how to serve others purely with no other motive than to share love.

Barbara loved and cherished each and every one of her family members and friends. Her thoughtfulness will be missed and remembered by everyone.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Navarre Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521
