Barbara B. Ives

Barbara B. Ives (Bobbie), 83, of Baytown, Texas passed away September 30, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Burlington, New Jersey on October 29, 1939, to Elmer and Alyce Brown.

Bobbie had a career as an Emergency Room R.N. for San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. She was a member of Baytown Community Church and was a Godly mentor to many women. Bobbie enjoyed playing piano and leaves her musical legacy to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed hosting celebrations, loved her Ladies Bible Study, 42 parties with friends, making creative photo albums, marching in the Burlington N.J. High School Band and her kids marching in The Famous Robert E. Lee Marching Band.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Alyce Brown, and she was the favorite granddaughter of grandparents Elwood and Olive Brown.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Doyle Ives, Sr.; son, Doyle Jr. (Kathy) Ives; 3 daughters, Charlotte (Robert) Barnett, Sharon (Bruce) Hillier, Laura (Johnny) Jones; 5 grandchildren, Courtney, Paul, Paige, Matthew, and Payton; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Brenda Boyd and Jacquelynn (Ray) Ferranto; beloved nieces and nephews, and much loved and appreciated caregiver, Jennifer Vaughan.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral service will follow and begin at 11 am, with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. Private burial will be held at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, Texas.
