Betty Louise Black, 78, of Baytown, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 04, 2018 in her home. She was born in Ghent, Kentucky on July 17, 1940 and spent her most recent years in the Texas panhandle area. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Edith Gross Black; grandparents, Omer Lee and Mary Elizabeth Snow Black; son, Thomas Garrett Stubblefield and one grandson, Alex Norton. She is survived by her children, Tommy Lee Stubblefield and wife Cindy of Ohio, Julia Ardon (Stubblefield) and husband Al of Washington, Bonnie Stephens of Oklahoma City, OK, Patricia Phillips of Amarillo, TX and Missie Mireles of Austin, TX; grandchildren,Kayla Phillips of Tucson, AZ, Katie Poggi of Ohio, Kristen Stokley of Ohio, Angela Branch of Sedro Woolley, WA, Kristi Wilson of New Mexico, Jimmy Wilson of Molina, FL, Steven Ardon of Limon, CO, Cassandra Milks of Welsh, OK, Tricia K. Pacione-Tholborn of Edmond, OK, Alania “Laney” Riley of The Village, OK, James “Ryan” Stephens of Bethany, OK, Katrina Carpenter of Amarillo, TX, Kalina Phillips of Tucson, AZ, Kevin Phillips of Amarillo, TX, Matthew Gonzalez of Amarillo, TX Andrew of Amarillo, TX Elizabeth Perez of Oklahoma and Anna Mireles of Amarillo, TX and a host of great-grandchildren. There will not be a service, but the family has requested that everyone share their memories either through the website or directly with the family.

Grandma was my 2nd mom. She raised me. She was the only person I would call and cry to and therefore her absence is a gaping hole. Thank you for your love and guidance. I know you are still watching over us and you'll be listening the next time I need a shoulder to cry on. I love you and miss you.
