

He was born on October 11, 1932 to Swinley and Winnie Corman in Tescott, KS. He graduated Kansas Wesleyan College in 1954 and went on to Graduate from Purdue University with a Masters in Science and a PhD. He moved to Texas in 1959 to work for Humble Oil and Refining Company’s Research and Development Center, and eventually retired from Exxon Research.
He coached Peewee football for over 20 years and was also a coach and umpire during baseball season. Blaine was a member of the Baytown Police Reserve and was also a member of the Baytown Optimist for many years.
In 1985 Blaine was one of the founding members of the 1st Texas Volunteers (BB35), a group of volunteers that did restoration and interpretative work on the Battleship Texas. He also did numerous works in support of the veterans from the battleship.
He was a member of the Crosby School Board from 1970 through 1976. Blaine was a proud member of the Houston Tidelanders Barbershop Chorus; he was also a member of the Bluebonnet Military Motor Pool.
He and his wife were fond of travelling having seen all 50 states, parts of Canada and Europe and Mexico.
He attended Highlands United Methodist Church and was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Baytown. He sang in choirs and in the Baytown Chorus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Swinley Edgar Corman and Dora Winnifred Corman (Allison), a brother, Evan Corman, a sister, Margaret Corman and a granddaughter Nora Bridges.
He is survived by brothers, Pat Corman, Ted Corman(Joan) and Gene Corman; sisters, Doris Berkeley and Mary Louise Werries; sons, Tim (Blanca) Corman, Mike (Audrey) Corman, and Danny (Jacque’) Corman; a daughter, Anita (James) Bridges; Grandchildren, Laura (Tommy) Thompson, Christopher Corman, Mary Bridges, Mereya Corman, Sara Bridges, Zoe Bridges, Louis Corman and Aaron Corman.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Highlands United Methodist Church, 107 W. Houston, Highlands, TX 77562 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Funeral Services will follow immediately at 1:00pm at Highlands United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
Serving the family as pallbearers were, Tim Corman, Mike Corman, Danny Corman, James Bridges, Jared Biedrzycki and Chris Corman.
