Bobbie Flynt, of Mont Belvieu, passed away on July 25, 2014 at the age of 78. Bobbie was born in Brady, Texas on Valentine's Day in 1936, to the late P.R. and Tula Carrier. After graduating from Newman High School in Sweetwater, Texas, Bobbie went on to attend Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. It was there that she met her soon to be husband, Jim Flynt, on a blind date while he was stationed in Abilene. Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, an avid reader that enjoyed the piano and she loved all things canine.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Jim Flynt and sister-in-law, Geneva Elmore. Left to Cherish her memory are her daughters and son-in-law, Rene` and Randy Heard of Mont Belvieu and Cheryl Flynt also of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Kyle Heard and fiancé, Tisha Finley and Hayley Heard, all of Mont Belvieu; brother-in-law, Charles Elmore, of Bayou Vista; niece, Cynthia and Scott Wilson, of Colorado; nephew, Tracy Keith, of Deer Park and cousin Arlene Basham, of San Antonio.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Norris will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Heard, Kyle Heard, Charles Elmore, Terry Williams, and Brent Williams.
