He lived his entire life in Baytown, Texas, graduating from Robert. E. Lee High School in 1959. Bobby joined the U.S. Air Force on January 30, 1961 with an honorable discharge on January 29, 1965. He returned to Baytown to work for the Baytown Fire Department from September 5, 1967 to January 31, 1991 retiring as a Fire Equipment Operator. Snuffy worked various jobs specializing in HAZMAT situations. He obtained numerous certificates relating to criminology, bomb recognition along with training through Texas A&M for fire training and EMS training.
He enjoyed photography, scuba diving, traveling, working on vehicles and home repairs. He always said he was a “General All Round Mr. Fix-It.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard Allen, and his “four-legged children” – Chewy, Cleopatra and Sophie Marie (Chow and English Bulldogs respectively).
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 17 years as well as his former wife, Joyce, of 31 years, one son, Wayne (Kathy) Zeagler of Baytown, TX along with their children, Dalton Wayne (Cherokee) Zeagler, Daniel Christopher (Alisha) Bogle, Michael William (Stefanie) Bogle, Timothy Lyn (Shaye) Bogle and Theresa Mary Bogle and one step-son, David Wayne (Dorae) Rippey of Fairfield, Iowa. He is also blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren, including two on the way.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX, with Rev. Sonny Goode officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Cemetery in Pasadena, TX
