

Brent Douglas Wachter, age 43 years old, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 19, 1982, to Maureen and Douglas Wachter. Brent spent his childhood in Flemington, New Jersey. He graduated Hunterdon Central high school in 2000. While at Hunterdon Central he entered a nationwide high school contest and won first place for the top stock pics for the year. The contest was sponsored by CNBC news and went to the television station to receive his award. While also in High School he was very artistic and was chosen to have his artwork highlighted in the Hunterdon County Teen Arts Calendar for two of the months on the Calendar. He attended Bentley University for business finance. He was currently working on a special Energy Degree at Texas Tech. Brent made his career in the Energy Industry most recently for Everline Houston, Texas. He loved his job and excelled at creating Major Safety Policy Documents protecting energy workers in the field operations that Everline has implemented in their Company Policy.
Brent pursued many hobbies, but most special was his talent for cooking and creating new recipes, especially for dips and sauces. He was a True Foodie, especially the Art of Barbecue. He loved going to specialty barbecue restaurants. His passion was creating new recipes for friends, coworkers and family to try. Brent had a Servants heart and often found joy in helping others. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Brent‘s personality naturally lit up the room with his presence. His greatest joy came from the precious time spent with his family, especially his niece and nephews. He always looked forward to his next trip home to spend time with them.
Brent was preceded in Death by his Maternal grandparents Eleanor and Edward Evans and his Paternal Grandparents Mildred and Raymond Wachter. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his Mother Maureen Wachter and partner Chris Raffo, his Father Douglas Wachter; his sister, Kelley Mali and husband Kevin; his Nephews Logan and Bennett Mali; his Niece Sutton Mali; and his extended Work family at Everline; along with a host of other loving family and friends.
