

Bryan had a career cooking working at Tiki Bay and Roosters Restaurants. He was a volunteer for Mont Belvieu Youth Softball Association. Bryan enjoyed playing men’s softball and coaching his daughter’s softball teams. While softball was his love, he collected sports cards and would trade, buy, and sell always adding to his collection.
Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Dotrie Prater, Billie Jean Prater, Levi J. Mitchell, Jr., and Adeline Mitchell Krolczyk; uncles, Timothy T. Prater and Mark S. Mitchell; aunt, Susan Prater Archer, and cousin, Tony Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Shannon; son, Jordan M. Prater; daughters, Alexis Prater (Mason) of Miami, Florida, Kylie R. Shannon-Prater, and Keira D. Prater; grandchildren, Avery, Brayden, and Aaliyah Prater; his parents, Philip and Jo Ann Prater; brother, Steven W. Prater; aunts, Sharon Tucker, Donna Street, and Dorothy Hargrove; cousins, Mary Urban, Tina Tucker, Kirk Shryoc, and Chase Shryoc; mother-in-law, Debbi Shannon; sister-in-law, Rachel Shannon; brother-in-law, Randell Shannon, and many loving family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Earthman Memory Garden Cemetery Pavilion, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, Texas 77521.
