

Buster McAlister passed away Thursday evening July 7, 2005 at the Happy Harbor Methodist Home in La Porte. He was born February 27, 1920 in Midway, Texas to William Bingham & Tilitha Oberia McAlister. He was retired as a Sr. Lab Technician for Exxon, a veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of VFW Post 912, and a member of the Methodist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters, and one step son, Wes Wright. He is survived by his wife, Tina McAlister of Baytown, son & daughter-in-law, Stoney “Pete” & Debbie McAlister of Baytown, grandchildren, Ryan & Nizher McAlister, Greg McAlister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, 10:00 am at Navarre Chapel with Rev. Royce Scott officiating. Burial will be at the Midway Cemetery in Midway, Texas at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Neal Dickens, J. W. Grimes, Mike McAlister, Pete Wallace, and Coleman Godwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Clamon, Christopher Clamon, Jerry Smith & Terry Smith.
