

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, graduated from Barbers Hill High School and retired from Houston Lighting and Power after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and after retirement cooking became his hobby.
He is survived by his wife Marilynn Klaus, sons Johnny Klaus and wife Alice, David Klaus and wife Stacy, Wade Hicks and wife Lorriane, Dallas Hicks and wife Sandy, Darron Hicks and wife Annette, daughter, Marchelle Conway and husband John. Brothers, Charles Klaus, Linnwood Klaus, Kenneth Klaus and wife Doreen, Darrell Klaus and wife Becky, sister-in-law O’Shan Klaus. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and longtime friend Herman Dodson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Irvin Klaus, Fred Klaus, Roy Klaus and Robert Klaus.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Calvin’s caregivers, Nina and Sheba from Harbor Hospice, whose kindness, empathy and professionalism comforted both him and the family.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive in Baytown, Texas.
