

Candy Lynn Sharp, 51, of Shoreacres was born July 16, 1956, in Baytown and God wrapped His loving arms around her and took her home on Thursday, July 10, 2008 after struggling from a lengthy Illness. She was a 1974 graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown and a 1978 graduate of Southwest Texas State University. She retired from the Pasadena School District with 28 years of service at J. D. Parks Elementary School. She was a member of Memorial Baptist and enjoyed her daily bible study with her mother as well as gardening, sailing and dancing. Candy had a heart of gold and was ultra giving, forgiving, and compassionate; and her family will always cherish the memories of her sacrificial love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Lynn Sharp; grandparents, John and Hazel Sharp and Ernest and Effie Stoerner; and her first ""girl"" Whitney. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Sharp; sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny Ann and Rudy Garcia and Cherry Jean and Jamie Anderson; nephew, James D. Anderson; great nephew and great nieces, Braiden Michael and Emma Rose Anderson and McKailey Peyton Anderson; special friends, Angela Rose King, Eddie Welch, Marie Pearce, Evelyn Virnau and Gerrianne Hyde; her two other ""girls"", Amber and Madelynn, her faithful and loving dogs; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her memorial service will be Sunday, July 13, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Hoffmann officiating. Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the start of her service. At her request, her body was cremated. In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 600 W. Sterling Ave., Baytown, TX 77520.
