

Carlo Florin Bongol, 62, of Baytown, Texas, passed away with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 28, 1962, in Naga City, Philippines, to Teresita Florin and Jorge Bongol. He made his career first as a Seaman (merchant marine) and then in the construction industry after coming to the United States. Carlo was married to the love of his life Bernadette for thirty-seven years, together they raised six children and made a beautiful life.
Carlo pursued many interests, some of which included listening to music, especially country, traveling, and fishing. He had a passion for cooking and could often be found in the kitchen creating something that was going to be wonderful. Food was his true love language. Carlo found joy in feeding anyone who came to his home, and was even trying to feed the hospital staff while he was a patient. He also enjoyed the simple things in life like just staying home, spending time with his precious family. He was a very quiet man, but his actions spoke loudly to everyone he loved, making sure they were always taken care of.
Carlo was preceded in death by his infant son Christian Carlo Bongol. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his parents; his beloved wife Bernadette; his children Angela, Nico, Gianni, JC, Bang, and Karol; his siblings Lilac Leonardo and husband Raul, Celeste Bongol, Lorenzo (Ilo) Bongol, and Bobby Bongol and wife Eira, his favorite fur baby and sidekick Conan; and his other fur baby Kookie the cat; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
On behalf of his family they extend their sincere appreciation to all of the medical staff and doctors who took wonderful care of Carlo during his stay and thanks to friends who constantly visited.
A celebration of Carlo's life will be held on June 27, 2025 beginning at 9am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7122 Whiting Rock, Baytown, Texas 77521.
