

Carmena Goss, 68, of Mont Belvieu, was born February 11, 1945 in Opelousas, LA and passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in a Houston hospital. She graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Sam Houston State University with a Masters of Library Science degree. She taught in the Barbers Hill School District for 19 years and after retiring, she served nine years on the Barbers Hill School District school board. Carmena was an active member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Carmena Cloutier and her husband, Sam Goss. She is survived by her twin sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Sydney Goss of Houston and David and Celina Goss of Fort Worth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Kaye Cloutier of Clear Lake and James and Joan Cloutier of Niceville, FL; stepbrothers, Thomas H. Willis of Rayville, LA and James W. Willis of
Cat Spring; stepsister, Nancy J. Willis of Dallas; and grandchildren, Reagan and Olivia Goss of Fort Worth and Avery and Sloane Goss of Houston.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Saturday, November 2, 2013 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Luis Ramirez officiating. A private graveside service will follow.
