

Carol Jo was born on March 7, 1959 to Joe Wilson Blythe and Billy Joy McCurdy Blythe, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Aron C. Carley, and her two brothers, Noble (Mark) Blythe and Michael R. Blythe.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Todd L. Brown, her daughter, Casey Carley Pasley, her sister, Connie Blythe Ronning, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Carol Jo attended Barbers Hill high school and had a successful career at Lyondell Petrochemical Company. She was a woman of strong Christian faith known for her kind and loving heart, her willingness to help others, and her deep devotion to her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved beyond measure.
Music was one of Carol Jo's lifelong passions. A gifted guitarist and singer, she found great happiness in sharing music with others and enjoyed attending concerts whenever she could. Her warmth, generosity, gentle spirit, and love for family, touched the lives of all who knew her.
Carol Jo's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though her passing leaves a tremendous void, those who loved her take comfort in the many precious memories she leaves behind and in the faith that guided her life.
A celebration of Carol Jo's life will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at Navarre Funeral Home at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas. Visitation will be at 1 PM and the service will start at 2 PM.
