Mrs. Price was raised in Trinity, Texas. It is here that she met her sweetheart, Perry A. Price, Jr. They were married February 24, 1953. After living in Liberty for three years, they finally settled down in Baytown in 1957. All five of their children were raised in Baytown. Mrs. Price was a stay-at-home mom for many years until in the late 80's when she hired on with Goose Creek CISD to drive a school bus, a job she loved. Once her children were all grown up and out of college, she went back to staying at home and enjoying the freedom to travel, entertain friends, and work in her yard. She loved her family and she loved helping others in any way and by serving as a caregiver to her neighbors and friends. She was an inspiration to us all.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.
In lieu of usual remembrances, it was Mrs. Price's request that contributions would be made to the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church Building Fund or their Grand Piano Fund.
The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the caregivers who were a part of her life; Remington Park's ""Special Needs"" unit and all of the kind, dedicated staff who work there; and Altus Hospice who so tenderly cared for her in her last days.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX, 77521 (281) 422-8111.
