Carolyn West

She was born November 19, 1955 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to her late parents, Emile West and Ruth Etta Deshotel, lived in Dayton for the last 20 years and was an Administrative Assistant at the City of Houston Water Department.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sharon Denise West and a brother, Don West.

Survivors include her children, Heath McKinney and his wife Nicole, Deone McKinney and Robert McKinney; sister, Kathy Paul; brother, Lemuel West; step-daughters, Anna Thibodeaux, Lori Sowell and Tiffany Sowell; grandchildren, Amanda Kircus, Joshua Springer, John McKinney, Blake McKinney, Rebecca Poss, Kayla McKinney, Alyssa Clark, Shaylyn Dunlap and Bailey McKinney; step-grandchildren, Jhayden Rhame, Macy Thibodeaux, Donahavan Thibodeaux, Mackenzie Sowell, Krystal Sowell, Haley Fleming, Stormy Fleming and Jason Campbell and she was awaiting the birth of her first great-grandchild, Logan Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown.
