She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Hodgin and brother, Lawrence Hodgin and is survived by her husband, Tom Niederhofer of Winnie; sons and daughter-in-law, Frank and Lisa Brown of Porter, Chris Brown of Mechanicsville, VA and Micah Niederhofer of Alvin; daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Gus Ward of Ruther Glen, VA; mother, Hattie Mae Hodgin and sisters, Shirley Ewen and Donna Boone, all of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Kathy Whitmire; grandchildren, Jeffrey Brown, Thomas Brown, Amanda Ward, Jennifer Webster, Jared Webster, Courtney Brown, and Zachary Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. A family graveside service will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Huntsville.
