Cecil Dewain ""Wayne Wise

Cecil Dewain ""Wayne"" Wise, 69, of Dayton was born February 9, 1944 in Corpus Christi and passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at his home. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a retired drilling consultant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Nellie Wise; sisters, Barbara Wise and Delores Lavon Theser; brothers, Kenneth Wise and Arthur Eugene Wise; and stepson, Jerrell Duane Hefner. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Wise of Dayton; daughter, Barbara Janette Dillard of Dayton; son, Cecil Dewain Taylor of Alice; stepsons, John Hefner and Terry Hefner, both of Houston; sisters, Deborah Verilla of Maryland, Donna Rochester of Alice, and Joyce Wright of Pasadena; brothers, Virgil Wise of Corpus Christi, David Wise of Bay City, and Glen Wise of Bryan; grandchildren, William David Lasky and Brittany, Brandon, Jessica, and Dani Jo Hefner; great granddaughter, Jessica Karen Lasky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
