

Charles ""Pert"" McIntyre, 86, a resident of Channelview for 55 years was born February 23, 1926 in Comanche, OK and passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in a Baytown healthcare facility. He was a U. S. Navy WWII veteran and was proud of his service aboard the submarine the USS Plaice. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Channelview and retired from the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union Local #20 with 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Stella McIntyre and one brother and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, June McIntyre of Channelview; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael L. McIntyre and Sherry Silcox of Deer Park and Patrick C. and Kay McIntyre of Channelview; daughters, Linda Golden of Channelview and Cheryl Dunlap of Baytown; and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Kyle Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
