Cheryl Hubley Mason (61) of Humble was called Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2019 following a brave fight against cancer. Cheryl was born in Liberty Texas on April 13, 1957. She grew up in Mont Belvieu, Texas where she graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 1976. During High School, Cheryl was a member of the Eagle Band and a talented baton twirler. She competed in UIL Typing where she took second place in the state of Texas. Additionally, Cheryl attended Sam Houston State University where she obtained an Associate’s Degree. Cheryl lived in the Baytown area for many years before she moved to Humble, Texas where she spent the last 10 years of her life. Cheryl retired from ExxonMobil in 2017 after 28 years of service. She finished her career as a Senior Administrative Legal Assistant in for the Law Technology group. Cheryl loved to laugh, read, study the Bible, go on cruises with her sister and was an avid dancer. After becoming a grandmother last year, spending time with her granddaughter topped her list of favorite things. Truly, one of God’s Angels here on earth, she will be remembered for her sweet spirit and her kind and loving ways. Her memory and beautiful smile will live on in the hearts of those that remain behind. Her legacy will always be remembered not only as a great and loyal friend, but also as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Londel and Shirley Hubley and her niece Anne Elizabeth Hubley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Joshua Mason and wife Lori of Highlands, Texas, and daughter Brittany Mason of Humble, Texas. In addition, she leaves a sister, Donna Hubley Harrison of Highlands, Texas and brother, Mike and Julie Hubley of Devers, Texas. In addition to many nieces and nephews, Cheryl is survived by her granddaughters Evelyn Grace Mason and Audrey Pena.
