Chris Romero

Chris Romero, 54, of Baytown, TX was born April 10, 1959 in Fort Hood, TX and passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 in a Baytown hospital. He was a 1977 graduate of Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown. He retired from Chevron Chemical as a supervisor in the waste management section with 35 years of service, where he was a member of the fire team. He served as a trustee for the Bay Area American Cancer Society Relay for Life and was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. J. and Alberta Romero and brother-in-law, Kelly Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Romero of Baytown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Vickie Romero, Kevin and Alison Romero, and Paul and Stephanie Romero and sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori Smith, Anita and Wes Coes, and Beth and Jon Reed, all of Port Arthur; and grandchildren, Logan Romero, Landon Jacobs, and Brittany Blevins.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home.
