

Claudia was passionate about family history. She dedicated her time to doing genealogical research. She was a member of many historical groups including: the Texas Order of Eastern Stars; The Daughters of the Republic of Texas; Texas First Families; United Daughters of the Confederacy; Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War; Daughters of the War of 1812; Daughters of the American Revolution; Daughters of the Pilgrims; Huguenots Society Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia; and Century Families of Walker County, Texas.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn Wotipka; her two sisters, Janette Maxine Black and Jessie Lee McFarlen; grandson, Kyle Lee Lewis.
She is survived by her daughter Leslie Kurtz and husband Leonard; her daughter Janet Covington and her husband Jon; her son John Lewis and his wife Julie; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at Fort
Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Glenn.
