Colleen Cole

Colleen Gertrude Moore Cole, 82, of Channelview was born July 6, 1927 in Highlands and passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in a Webster healthcare facility. She was a charter member of Old River Terrace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. J. and Lilli Moore; husband, J. W. Cole; sisters, Wilma Logan and Cleao Cruse; and brother, George Moore. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, J. W. Cole, III of Webster and Robert and Carriann Cole and John David Cole, all of Houston; sister, Maxine Hamrick of Channelview; grandchildren and their spouses, Kim Cole, Erin and Craig Christoph, Alicia and Dave Kiser, Kristina and Eric Crowley, Karla and Ivory Franklin, Katie and Phillip Wilson and Kourtney and Lance Russell; and 13 great grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Old River Terrace United Methodist Church, 16102 East Freeway, Channelview, TX 77530 with Rev. Clay Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Cruse, Larry Turvan, Craig Christoph, Ivory Franklin, Phillip Wilson and Lance Russell.
