Constance Jean Duke, 78, of Baytown, Texas passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was born in Saint Joseph's Hospital, Houston, Texas on December 2, 1943 to Ina and Bill Holcomb. She was married to Kenny Duke for 38 years.
Jean was the first person hired at San Jacinto Mall, prior to its opening, she also worked at Wilsons, Mervyns and Charles S. Nacol Jewelers before she dedicated her time and love to her family. Jean was a member of Coady Baptist Church and had a passion for her family, especially her grandson Joshua.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Ina Holcomb and her husband Kenny Duke. She is survived by her sisters Charlene Wilkerson and Diane Mercaldo; daughter Teresa Duke; grandson Joshua Duke; and many many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. A Celebration of Life service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 am, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. Jean will be laid to rest at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 following the service.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Corpus, Lewis Corpus, Jacob Corpus, Lynn Powell, Mike Stephens and Michael Rhame. Honorary pallbearer Joshua Duke.
