

Curtis Eugene McBride, Jr., 72, of Azle, TX passed away on May 21, 2017. Curtis was born in Livingston, TX on April 2, 1945 and graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, TX in 1964. He joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1968 aboard the USS Sproston in the Vietnam War. Once home he began a career as an electrician working for HL&P, Brown and Root and Exxon. Later in life he worked for FMC Technologies and then retired from
JBT Corporation at DFW Airport.
Curtis loved travelling with his wife and viewing the scenery in our great state. He also enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys play, working on projects in the home and outside, and playing with his dogs. He loved Harley motorcycles, muscle cars, camping, and yellow roses. He fought cancer alongside his wife before succumbing to lung cancer received due to exposure to Agent Orange during his service in the Vietnam War. He lived a full life and will be missed.
Curtis was followed in death by his wife/partner of 17 years, Katherine Elizabeth Upton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Eugene McBride, Sr., and Myrtle Leona Reynolds; and sister, Mary Sue Perran.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori Ann McBride Mullens; sons, David Curtis McBride and Jason William McBride; sister, Winn Skidmore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home. Burial will be at Houston National Cemetery.
