

Damon was a lifelong resident of Baytown, member of Pruett and Lobit Church of Christ, a graduate of Ross Sterling High School in 1972, retired Process Technician from Exxon after 35 years of service and enjoyed golfing. His biggest enjoyment in life was being with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Davenport. Survivors include his wife, Debra Davenport; mother, Shirley Davenport; daughters, Erin Petty and her husband, Ben and Staci Wise and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Avery and Addison Wise and Blaine and Evan Petty; brothers, Danny Davenport and his wife, Sandy and David Davenport and his wife Linda; mother-in-law, Doris Jasper and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the funeral home with Mr. Jesse Flowers and Mr. Warren King officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Wise, Ben Petty, Louis Dolzeal, Richard Bishop, John Munson, Bert Evans and Bill Martin.
