

Daniel Brand, 90, of Baytown, went to be at rest with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 30, 2012. He was born in Chandler, TX, to Albert and Lula Brand. He married the love of his life Katie Work in 1941. Danny was a champion fiddle player and was a member of a local band, “Danny Brand and the Corral Boys.” He loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He was a self-made man and could fix anything, especially cars. He was a long-time worker in the petrochemical industry to include Humble Oil and Celanese.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Bobby Brand and grandson, Barry Brand.
He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Katie Brand; sons, Donnie Brand and wife Dolly and Max Brand and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Bryan Brand and wife Amanda of Seabrook, Kimberly Brand of Baytown, Danny Brand and wife Kim of Baytown, Amber Wallace of Baytown, Shane Brand and wife Christine of Dayton, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Earthman Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. There will be a private family interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Max Brand, Donnie Brand, Bryan Brand, Danny Brand, Shane Brand and Chance Beavins.
