

David Paul Parkinson, 78, of Baytown was born November 10, 1932 in Wichita Falls, TX and passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Maude Parkinson; brothers, Bill Parkinson and Thomas V. Parkinson, Jr.; sisters, Gayle Dupree and Mary Musgrave; and wife of 52 years, Lou M. Parkinson. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Paula Parkinson of Baytown, Danny and Melinda Parkinson of Madisonville, Doug and Cheri Parkinson of Waconia, MN, and Donald and Kristin Parkinson of The Woodlands; sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Richard King of Garland; grandchildren, Jonathan Parkinson of Clear Lake, Janna Kaderli and husband, Kyle of Mont Belvieu, Andrew and Amber Parkinson, both of Tempe, AZ, Sarah Chmielinski of Mystic, CT, Becky Parkinson of Casa Grande, AZ, and Dianne, Amy, and Megan Parkinson of Waconia, MN; great granddaughters, Jadyn Parkinson and Karys Kaderli, mother-in-law, Aletha DeLoach and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, J. L., Jr. and Judy DeLoach and Beverly and Darrel Foreman, all of Baytown.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. At his request, his body will be cremated.
