

Rodney Dewayne Davis, 61, of Old River-Winfree, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Baytown. He was born on January 14, 1965, in Baytown, Texas, to Clara Bourque Davis and the late RD Davis, Jr. Dewayne was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee, Class of 1983.
Born and raised in Baytown, Texas, Dewayne built a life surrounded by family, friends, and a community that knew and loved him. He was well known by many and carried a presence that made people feel welcome wherever he went.
He was a skilled meat processor and was widely known and respected for his abilities. Dewayne took great pride in his work, and his dedication and craftsmanship did not go unnoticed by those who knew him.
His greatest joy in life was his family. His children meant everything to him, and he never hesitated to put them before himself. He was incredibly proud of his kids and would brag about them every chance he got. Dewayne was the kind of father who always stood firmly beside his family, supporting and defending them no matter the situation, with unwavering love and loyalty.
He will be remembered for his strength, his big heart, and the way he showed up for the people he loved without question. His impact on his family and everyone who knew him will never be forgotten.
Dewayne was preceded in death by his father, RD Davis, Jr.; and his niece, Kelsey Davis.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his mother, Clara; the love of his life, his wife Rachel of 15 years; his children, Cammie Oliver and husband Robert, Michael Baker and wife Vanna, Brittnie Davis and husband Oscar, Abel Davis, and Carolyn Davis; his grandchildren, Jourden Payne, Helen Williamson and husband Caden, Jacob Oliver, Anthony Davis, and Tate Grimes; his brothers, Randy Davis and wife Rachel, Richie Davis, Raylan Davis, and Russell Davis and wife Terri; his numerous nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Michael Hickman and wife Kristin, Bridgett Hickman and husband Tony Cooper, Gabriel Hickman and wife Melissa Spray, and Bobby Hickman and wife Nancy; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on March 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on March 21, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
