Diana Bevel, also known as “Sissy” to those who knew and loved her; was born April 9, 1945 and passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2019. Diana was one of the most giving, loving, and selfless people to have ever met. All of her family members at BHPA and the friends that walked into her shop, “Sissy’s Country at Heart” can testify to that. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and was a friend to so many people. She was truly one of a kind. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Berneice Anderson Sr.; Brother, Albert Anderson; sister in law, Ann Bevel and mother and father in law, Gene and Jean Bevel. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 55 years, Joe Bevel, she was truly the love of his life. Her brother, Charles Anderson Jr. and brother in law Jimmy Bevel. Her kids, son Joe Bevel Jr, daughter Gina and husband Paul Berry, and Laura and Claude Stephens. Her grandkids, Emily and Dalton Berry, Drew and Jenn Stephens, and Aaron and Katie Durret. Great grandchildren, Evyn and Carson. Along with numerous nieces and nephews, special ones being Christy and Chris Jordan. Her kids and grandkids loved her more than anyone will ever know. Life doesn’t stop when our loved ones pass, it just makes us stronger and sends us down a different path, we have to be strong. She will always be remembered and loved, never forgotten because she will live in our hearts, our memories, our stories, and our smiles with just the mere mention of her name. She was so loved. The pallbearers will be Dalton Berry, Chris Jordan, Jay Neil, Mico Luna, Philip Eaglin, and Drew Stephens.

I meet Sissy thru my sister Melanie who was a dear friend of hers. I didn't know her well but every time I visited with her she always made me feel so welcome iin her home. She was a gentle soul and she will be missed. My sincere condolences to Joe and her family.

Diana , as I knew her was a caring loving great fruendly lady. She knew me as "Tish". I've known Diana for several years I was so upset to her of her passing. When I would run into her around town we always had brief catch up on family and the shop. We held the same intrest in crafting. We recently spoke this summer of bringing my crafts into her shop for the upcoming holidays. She was always willing to help out. Rest in peace my friend.
