Don Singletary

Don Benford Singletary was born on August 12, 1937, in Houston, TX. to Thelma and Benford Singletary. He was the older of two sons who grew up in Houston, graduating from John H. Reagan High School in 1955. He attended the University of Houston where he studied business and was a competitive member on the Cougar golf team. After serving in the U. S. Army, he spent most of his life as a small business owner of Kwik Kopy Printing in Baytown where he and his wife, Marsha, have lived for the past forty-four years. Don retired in 2003. He and Marsha are long time members of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church in Baytown.

He and the love of his life, Marsha Cole, were married in 1957 in Houston and raised three devoted sons, Gregory Charles of Baytown, Jeffrey Don of League City, and Robert Scott of Houston. He is survived by his wife and sons, his brother, Gary and his wife Dianne, from Ruidoso, New Mexico, and their five granddaughters, Catherine, Caroline, Jensen, Peyton, and Ruby Kate and two daughters-in-law, Jennifer, wife of Jeff, and Jessica, wife of Scott.

Don was an avid sports fan with an incredible sense of humor, loved coaching Little League for his boys, golfing throughout his life, and faithfully following his home and favorite teams. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of player stats and team records and often challenged friends and family with his trivia. He and Marsha enjoyed traveling and vacationing on the Texas Coast with friends and family. He loved his family, making sure that they were cared for and in return was loved by all those who knew him and adored by his family.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive in Baytown, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Don's life. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
