Donald was born May 20, 1955, in Baytown, Texas to parents Paul Motley and Mildred Motley Williamson.
He attended GCCISD and was a 1973 graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School. Donald worked for ExxonMobil and retired after 30 years of service, he thought of his coworkers as family. After retirement, he moved to Sebastopol, Texas, on the north end of Lake Livingston, where he served as president of the Harbor Point POA board. He loved his lake family and dedicated five years to improving and beautifying the community.
He married his high school sweetheart Becky Johnson Motley on May 3, 1974; they recently celebrated 48 years of unconditional and unwavering love. Together they had children, Christopher Paul Motley and Kelli Dianne Motley Tull. Donald was a family man and committed his time to loving and nurturing his grandchildren; Krista Motley, Kyleigh Motley, Conner Tull, Kasen Lenamon, Camryn Tull, Kalex Lenamon, and Kaleb Lenamon. Donald "Pop" shared his passions of fishing on the lake for catfish, cooking his infamous "Poppy burgers", golfing, growing his favorite vegetables in his garden, and boating with his family. He was always at every sports event, graduation, choir concert, and orchestra recital, cheering on his grandbabies. They will miss their number one fan.
Donald was preceded in death by his father Paul, mother Mildred, and step-father Harold Lynn Williamson.
Donald left behind his wife, Becky; son, Chris; daughter, Kelli and her husband Thomas Edward Tull; his sisters, Patti Motley Carhart, and Paula Motley Widner and her husband Michael Widner; step-brothers, Tommy Williamson and Terry Williamson; mother-in-law, Billie Freeman Johnson; sister-in-laws, Theresa Knox, and Kathi Leonard and her husband Robert, and also many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be held at his home with his immediate family.
