Dorothy Young

Dorothy Young, 93, of Baytown was born December 30, 1919 in Double Bayou, TX and passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 in a local healthcare facility. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church and volunteered many years at Baycoast and Baytown Humana Hospital. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and cleaning for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E. A. and Elma Wilborn; husband, O. D. Young; sister, Alice Hughes; and brother, Lloyd Wilborn. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Nancy Young of Katy and Montie and Cynthia Young of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren and their spouses, Neely and Ruel Nelson of Fairfax, VA, Chris and Weijia Young of Sudbury, MA, Cole Young of Katy, and Jarrod and Marcy Young of Houston; and great grandchildren, Kaylan Young, Tenley Nelson, Emersyn Young, and Adalyn Young.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, October 9, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at San Jacinto Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Jirrels officiating.
