

Douglas E. King, 66, of Baytown, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 in Baytown. He was born January 12, 1945 in Brownsville to his late parents, Fred King and Edna Neville King and had lived in Baytown since 1976.
Douglas was a retired estimator from Brown & Root, a Reserve Deputy with the Cameron County Sheriff's Department, enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a special interest in cars.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy King of Baytown; sons, Troy King and his wife Sandra of Baytown and Scott King and his wife Melissa of Mont Belvieu; step-sons, Darin Powers of Spring and Ryan Powers and his wife Natalie of Kingwood; step-daughter, Emily Powers of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Clayton, Rachel, Faith and Courtney King and step-grandchildren, Henry Boeck and Benjamin Powers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Black and Carey Froelich officiating.
